Albert Pujols has officially retired after signing his retirement papers with the St. Louis Cardinals on Monday, according to a source.
Pujols was drafted by the Cardinals in the 13th round of the 1999 MLB Draft and played 22 Major League seasons from 2001-22.
He hit 24 home runs in his final season, allowing him to surpass the 700-homer milestone.
